On May 4th, AKB48’s Watanabe Mayu held a release event for her latest photo book, ‘Watanabe Mayu Seifuku Zukan: Saigo no Seifuku‘.
Watanabe, who graduated high school last year, commented, “I was thinking about releasing a photo book while I was still 19-years-old, so it came true,” and declared, “Next, I want to hold a solo live in uniform before I’m 20!”
When asked about her solo activities, Watanabe said, “It gets lonely backstage, but doing things solo has its own goodness so it’s fulfilling.” She continued, “I haven’t thought about graduating AKB48. If anything, I should be continuing to do my best.”
Watanabe also commented on the upcoming senbatsu general elections (June 8th, Nissan Stadium). “Since it’s a festival, I want to enjoy it together with my fans without being too nervous.”
